Three Anniversaries Worth Celebrating

My previous blog post focused on three anniversaries that took place over the course of the past week; specifically, the anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks and the Benghazi terror attack, and the first anniversary of the derailment of the Kavanaugh confirmation hearings with decades-old, vague sexual assault allegations.   Since all three of those anniversaries brought back a lot of bad memories, I decided it might make sense to focus on an anniversary that people across America can look forward to celebrating as well as two personal anniversaries. This week, I celebrated three special anniversaries. All Americans should join me in celebrating the first anniversary, Constitution Day. 232 years ago today, representatives from 12 of the 13 colonies signed the nation’s founding document at Independence Hall in Philadelphia.   As a testament to the Founders’ wisdom and vision, the Constitution has demonstrated an incredible resiliency. As I explained in one of my ve...

Debra Katz Injected With Truth Serum

This week marked the 18 th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks that took the lives of nearly 3,000 Americans and forever changed American society; specifically, when it comes to air travel. Contrary to what The New York Times wants people to think, airplanes did not cause the terror attacks; the radical Islamic terrorists who hijacked the planes and crashed them into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon did. Since 18 years have passed since the 9/11 terror attacks, every single high school student and the overwhelming majority of students attending college right now do not remember the attacks. Fortunately, Young America’s Foundation has made sure that the younger generation will not forget the horrors of what took place on 9/11 by creating the “Never Forget project.” This year, student activists from more than 200 high schools and colleges across America placed 2,977 American flags on the ground in honor of each and every innocent life taken prematurely in the terro...

Anti-American Extremists Take Off Their Masks

This week, anti-American extremists took off their masks.   Well, at least some of them did. The week began with some demonstrations by some anti-American extremists, many of whom did not take off their masks.   This group of activists describes itself as “anti-fascists” or “antifa” despite the fact that many of their tactics resemble those of “actual fascists.”   Antifa had gathered in Washington , D.C. and Charlottesville over the weekend to mark the one year anniversary of the “Unite the Right” rally spearheaded by white supremacists that took place in Charlottesville , Virginia .   This year, a second “Unite the Right” rally took place in Lafayette Square in front of the White House.   The media hyped the one-year anniversary, which ultimately did not their expectations.   Instead of the gathering of scores of white supremacists they had imagined, only twenty white supremacists showed up in Lafayette Square . However, a lot more members o...

Rahm Emanuel Injected With Truth Serum

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, who has previously served as a Congressman from one of the wealthiest parts of the city and later as President Obama’s Chief of Staff, proudly declared the largest city in the Midwest a “Trump-free zone” during a recent appearance on “Late Night With Stephen Colbert.”   Liberal protesters had successfully prevented Trump from holding a rally at the University of Illinois at Chicago in March 2016 ahead of the Republican Presidential Primary in Illinois ; which he ended up winning. Emanuel had previously tried to declare Chicago a “Chick-fil-A free zone”, describing the company as inconsistent with “Chicago values,” but he ended up losing that battle and Chicago residents now have the opportunity to enjoy chicken, waffle fries, breath mints and friendly service every day except Sunday.   As nearly 4,000 murders have taken place during his roughly seven-year tenure as mayor, Emanuel clearly has more important things to worry about. Chicago ...

Meet the Strangest Candidates of 2018

Whether or not a party has success in a particular election often depends on the individual candidate.   Picking the wrong candidate can often come as a death blow to a party seeking to maintain or take control of a particular political office.   The Republicans learned this the hard way when in 2012, when they picked a series of ultimately ineffective candidates who made major gaffes on the campaign trail cost them two easily winnable Senate seats.      2018 has attracted quite an interesting cast of characters as well.   The candidates listed below have either a bizarre personal background, exhibited very strange behavior on the campaign trail or have starred in very controversial ads.   Nathan Larson: One of the most important races this year will take place in Virginia ’s 10 th Congressional District.   The district, currently represented by second-term Republican Barbara Comstock, has historically voted Republican, but it ended up ...

Not-so-Sweet Sixteen

Today marks the sixteenth anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks that killed nearly 3,000 Americans and forever changed the lives of infinitely many more.   The series of unfortunate events began at 8:46 a.m. when a plane hijacked by radical Islamic terrorists associated with the group Al-Qaeda crashed into the North Tower of the World Trade Center .   Less than twenty minutes later, another plane hijacked by Al-Qaeda crashed into the South Tower .   By 12:00 that day, both buildings had completely collapsed.   Many of New York City ’s heroic first responders lost their lives trying to save people inside the Twin Towers .   A group of terrorists, led by followers of the Muslim cleric known as the “Blind Sheikh”, had previously tried to topple the World Trade Center in 1993. While the plan to completely obliterate the World Trade Center failed, six people died when the homemade bomb the terrorists had planted in an underground parki...
