Boy Scouts Injected With PC Virus

The left has always had an animus against the Boy Scouts; probably dating back to 1990, when the Boy Scouts fired Assistant Scoutmaster James Dale after he came out as gay.  Ten years later, the case went to the Supreme Court; which ruled 5-4 that The Boy Scouts, as a private organization, had the right to fire an individual if they felt that his or her behavior contradicted the organization’s mission(s).  The media obviously hated that decision; a camera caught Bryant Gumbel saying “what a f***ing idiot” in response to the Family Research Council’s Robert Knight defending the Boy Scouts’ policy of excluding gays as scout leaders in an interview with Gumbel for CBS’s “The Early Show.”  It took Gumbel seven years to actually admit that he uttered those words.  Like the military, the Boy Scouts remained one of the few institutions untouched by the radical left after their “long march through the institutions.”  For the past 107 years, The Boy Scouts of America has encouraged hard work, discipline, and self-reliance; i.e. everything that the left advocates against.

 

However, it appears as if the Boy Scouts have at long last succumbed to the Cultural Revolution.  The organization announced a controversial decision last week to allow girls to join the Cub Scouts, the Scouting division designed for boys between the ages of 7 and 11. This decision, which probably resulted from a petition from a Canadian girl seeking to become an Eagle Scout, will go into effect in 2018. For the record, this change.org petition did not reach its goal of 10,000 signatures. Apparently, the people who made the decision to make the Cub Scouts co-ed know absolutely nothing about children.  Boys between the ages of 7 and 11 believe that girls have cooties and the girls feel the same way about the boys.  The left must be ecstatic about the decision, since their master plan involves abolishing all gender differences.  I’ll get into that more a little later.   

 

The Girl Scouts, generally considered more progressive and enlightened than the Boy Scouts, did not approve of the organization’s decision to make the Cub Scouts co-ed.  They released a statement to ABC News, saying “The Boy Scouts’ house is on fire.  Instead of addressing systemic issues of continuing sexual assault, financial mismanagement and deficient programming, BSA’s senior management wants to add an accelerant to the house by recruiting girls.”  Based on the tone of the Girl Scouts’ statement, I don’t think that they will allow boys to start selling thin mints anytime soon.

 

The technological revolution probably has something to do with The Boy Scouts’ decline in membership.  As Bill O’Reilly would frequently talk about on his show, the “urchins” have developed quite an addiction to the “machines.”  With video games and virtual reality platforms to keep them busy all day, many of today’s young men simply have no desire to join an organization such as The Boy Scouts.  But the technological revolution is far from the only factor that caused the Boy Scouts to make the decision to go co-ed. 

 

The left has gone on a crusade attempting to convince Americans to ignore the painfully obvious biological and psychological differences between the two genders.  For a group that brands itself as pro-science, this seems quite contradictory.  Many on the left consider it a hate fact to point out that the two genders have complimentary reproductive organs designed specifically for the purpose of childbearing.   One America News Network host Liz Wheeler pointed out in this video that the left has a master plan to destroy the nuclear family so that everyone will have to rely on the government to provide them with cradle to grave entitlements. The left has already succeeded in weakening the nuclear family’s place in American society.   The invention of artificial insemination has now made it so people can have children without getting married or even having a partner.  Some on the far left have already given up on the idea of gender altogether and seek to impose this radical gender ideology on their children.  Leftist schools have already begun experimenting with teaching left-wing gender ideology to their students.  Have we finally found the one area where the left does not seek to put people in boxes based on their identities?  Not necessarily, since Hillary Clinton’s Presidential campaign emphasized her gender incessantly. In my opinion, rather than focusing on creating a post-gender society, we should instead work harder to create a post-racial society.  But that will not likely happen anytime soon since the Democrats’ political strategy relies heavily on stirring up racial animosity.       

 

What a strange time we live in where California, the nation’s most populous state, criminalizes calling someone the wrong gender pronoun yet allows illegal immigrants to reside in the state without penalty.  Doesn’t the state of California have bigger problems to worry about?   Lauren Southern could not have pointed it out any better when she said “The War on Traditional Values has created a lost, angry and confused generation.”  She elaborates on her point further in this video.

 

The election of President Trump has given some hope that conservatives should not yet declare defeat in the culture war.  The 45^th President may serve as an unlikely antidote for the PC virus that has spread across our country, most recently infecting The Boy Scouts.  Last week, he became the first sitting President to address the Values Voter Summit, an annual gathering of Christian conservatives sponsored by the Family Research Council.  You can check out a transcript of his speech here.  The President had previously spoken at the Values Voter Summit last year as the Republican Nominee for President of the United States.  President Trump won a higher share of the Evangelical vote than any previous Presidential Candidate.  Exit polls show that 81 percent of Evangelicals cast their vote for Mr. Trump in the 2016 Presidential Election; realizing that voting for another candidate or not voting at all would result in the election of a candidate hostile to traditional American values and the people who hold them.

 

For all those who do not approve of the idea of girls joining the Boy Scouts, another option exists.  First launched in 2013, Trail Life USA has grown to over 26,000 members spread out across over 700 units in 45 states. This faith-based organization shows no signs of succumbing to the demands of the authoritarian PC culture that has apparently captured a grip on both the Boy Scouts and the Girl Scouts.  A faith-based alternative scouting program for girls, American Heritage Girls, has existed since 1995, when the Girl Scouts decided to allow lesbians as troop leaders and allowed girls to substitute the word “God” in the oath.  Since the creation of Trail Life USA, the Boy Scouts have abandoned their bans on gay leaders that led to the 2000 Supreme Court case Boy Scouts of America v. Dale and earlier this year, allowed girls who identify as boys to join the Boy Scouts.  While the media has obsession with covering the war on women, it seems like they have no interest in covering the “war on men.”

 

It looks like the free market will ultimately decide the fate of the Boy Scouts of America.  If people really don’t like their new PC policy allowing girls to join the Cub Scouts, expect to see Trail Life USA’s membership explode.  For more information on Trail Life USA, check out their website.
