Last week, a jury in Alexandria , Virginia convicted longtime political operative Paul Manafort on eight of the eighteen counts brought against him by Andrew Weissman, a prosecutor associated with the wide-reaching Special Counsel investigation initially launched to investigate Russian interference in the 2016 Presidential Election.   Tucker Carlson described Weissman as an “enthusiastic Democratic partisan” who attended Hillary Clinton’s election night party where she planned to celebrate her victory over Donald Trump.   Manafort definitely does deserve to face some punishment for the crimes he has committed but the 305 years that the prosecution called for seems way too excessive.   Just to put things in perspective, 305 years ago, the Constitution of the United States of America did not exist, as the United States of America did not even exist.   Assuming that scientists do not come up with a cure for immortality in the near future, the 69-year-old Manafo...

In Vermont, Democratic gubernatorial candidate Christine Hallquist has made quite a few controversial tweets about Christians in the past, including one suggesting that Christians propose an equal if not more serious threat to the United States than Radical Islamic Terrorists: “And we worry about Sharia law!   Radicalized Christians are part of the American landscape and we tolerate it.”   Hallquist’s attitude towards Christianity might not hurt her in a liberal state like Vermont , which boasts one of the lowest church attendance rates in the country. Scott Squires, an Army Chaplain stationed at Fort Bragg , North Carolina , now faces a reprimand for refusing to participate in a marriage retreat where the attendees included a Lesbian couple.   Squires pulled out of overseeing the Strong Bonds marriage retreat, in accordance with Army policy, and gave the role overseeing the retreat to someone else; thereby allowing the Lesbian couple to participate.   However...

Earlier this month, Miss America announced that it would no longer hold swimsuit competitions or evening gown beginning with this year’s competition; which will take place on September 9 in Atlantic City .   Instead, the contestants will walk on stage in clothing that “makes them feel confident, expresses their personal style, and shows how they hope to advance the role of Miss America .”   The plan to scrub the swimsuit competition would obviously fail if all of the women agreed that bikinis “make them feel confident.” The contestants will participate in a back-and-forth with the judges focusing on highlighting “her achievements and goals in life and how she will use her talents, passion, and ambition to perform the role of Miss America .”   If people wanted to watch a Talent show, they would tune into “ America ’s Got Talent” or the “X-Factor.”   The free market will ultimately decide the fate of Miss America .   Those who hope to see beautiful wome...

In the greatest miscarriage of justice since the OJ Simpson verdict, a San Francisco jury chose not to convict Jose Ines Garcia Zarate, the illegal immigrant who killed Kate Steinle in broad daylight on San Francisco’s Pier 14 in 2015, for murder.   Zarate, who has used the alias Juan Francisco Lopez-Sanchez, had been deported five times yet thanks to our porous borders kept finding his way back in.   He told authorities that he specifically chose to go to San Francisco because of its insane sanctuary city policy.   One could make a very strong argument that the Kate Steinle tragedy and the debate about illegal immigration and sanctuary cities that resulted from it catapulted Donald Trump to the top of the polls in the Republican Primary, since it took place just 15 days after he launched his unexpected Presidential Campaign.   To no one’s surprise, President Trump weighed in on the verdict on Twitter, calling the verdict “disgraceful” and pointing out t...

The media is blasting President Trump for two of his latest tweets.   In the first tweet , the President went after Oakland Raiders running back Marshawn Lynch for taking a knee during the American National Anthem but standing for the Mexican national anthem; arguing that the league should have suspended Lynch for the remainder of the season.    The Raiders played against the Patriots in Mexico City Sunday.   Lynch and other SJWs should know that Mexico is a far more corrupt and unjust country than the United States .   But don’t expect them to let the facts get in the way of their Anti-American crusade.   Perhaps Lynch and his fellow anthem protesters could start up a football team in Mexico since they seem to like our neighbor to the south much more than the country that has given them so much opportunity.   That would certainly make NFL sponsors like Papa John’s happy.   The #BoycottNFL movement that began when a series of football playe...

Today, Christians across America celebrate All Saints Day.   Sadly, polling over time indicates fewer and fewer Americans see the value in traditional religion.   More than 50 years of polling shows that the percentage of Americans who practice Christianity continues to fall while the percentage of Americans who identify as atheists and agnostics continues to rise.   In the early 1960s, before the ascent of the Cultural Revolution, more than 90 percent of Americans identified as Christians while just 2 percent identified as non-religious.   Today, only about 3 in 4 Americans identify as Christians while the number of percentage of Americans who do not adhere to any religion has jumped to around 20 percent.   Over the years, the percentage of Americans who practice Judaism has remained steady in the low single digits.   If not for the South and Utah , America ’s religious participation would mirror that of secular Europe .     The de-Ch...
