The Left Restarts Their War on the Judicial Branch

When I wrote an article marking the one-year anniversary of the left’s war on Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, I thought the left had given up their war on Kavanaugh and the judicial branch as a whole and finally reached the acceptance stage of grief. Apparently, I thought wrong. Just about a year after Christine Blasey Ford’s sexual assault allegations and a series of far more ridiculous and outlandish allegations threatened to keep Kavanaugh off the Supreme Court, a new allegation against Kavanaugh has emerged; with even flimsier evidence than the largely uncorroborated allegations that dominated the headlines last fall.   Two New York Times reporters released an excerpt of their book The Education of Brett Kavanaugh last weekend. The excerpt detailed an allegation that a drunken Brett Kavanaugh exposed himself at a party during his college years, where “friends pushed his penis into the hand of a female student.” The way the allegation made it to the reporters c...

Three Anniversaries Worth Celebrating

My previous blog post focused on three anniversaries that took place over the course of the past week; specifically, the anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks and the Benghazi terror attack, and the first anniversary of the derailment of the Kavanaugh confirmation hearings with decades-old, vague sexual assault allegations.   Since all three of those anniversaries brought back a lot of bad memories, I decided it might make sense to focus on an anniversary that people across America can look forward to celebrating as well as two personal anniversaries. This week, I celebrated three special anniversaries. All Americans should join me in celebrating the first anniversary, Constitution Day. 232 years ago today, representatives from 12 of the 13 colonies signed the nation’s founding document at Independence Hall in Philadelphia.   As a testament to the Founders’ wisdom and vision, the Constitution has demonstrated an incredible resiliency. As I explained in one of my ve...

Debra Katz Injected With Truth Serum

This week marked the 18 th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks that took the lives of nearly 3,000 Americans and forever changed American society; specifically, when it comes to air travel. Contrary to what The New York Times wants people to think, airplanes did not cause the terror attacks; the radical Islamic terrorists who hijacked the planes and crashed them into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon did. Since 18 years have passed since the 9/11 terror attacks, every single high school student and the overwhelming majority of students attending college right now do not remember the attacks. Fortunately, Young America’s Foundation has made sure that the younger generation will not forget the horrors of what took place on 9/11 by creating the “Never Forget project.” This year, student activists from more than 200 high schools and colleges across America placed 2,977 American flags on the ground in honor of each and every innocent life taken prematurely in the terro...

Highlights and Lowlights From This Year's Supreme Court Decisions

As schools let out across America for the summer, many in Washington get to embark on a nice, long summer vacation as well.   Even those who do not get to enjoy the two-month summer vacation enjoyed by students and teachers and the three and a half month long vacation that enables college students and professors who decide not to participate in summer sessions get to take advantage of, most of the United States federal government get to at least enjoy some time off in honor of America’s 243 rd birthday.   Congress gets next week off and will get to enjoy a longer August recess.   The Supreme Court gets to enjoy the longest vacation of all three branches of the federal government.   They do not have to return to work until October. Last year at this time, liberals across America had gone into a panic as Justice Anthony Kennedy, considered the swing vote on the court for the previous decade, announced his retirement.   A Republican President, Ronald Rea...

Converts and New Additions to the Trump Train

In 2016, President Trump received more votes than any Republican presidential candidate in American history.   In spite of his strong showing, his Democratic opponent managed to win even more votes.   Unfortunately for her, the national popular vote does not determine who becomes President in the United States of America.   The Electoral College does.   Hillary Clinton’s massive margin of victory in California put her over the top in the national popular vote but it did not enable her to win the Electoral College.   President Trump won the presidency by beating her in the key states of Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin; which Republicans had not carried in decades.   As a result of Hillary Clinton’s failure to win the presidency despite winning the popular vote, the debate about abolishing the Electoral College has reached a fever pitch.   The idea has almost become a sort of litmus test among the 2020 Democratic presidential contenders.   ...

Developments in the Civil Rights Battle of This Generation

Several politicians and media figures claim to have put their finger on the civil rights issue of this generation.  Presidential hopeful Cory Booker sees gun control as the civil rights issue of our time.  Margaret Hoover saw the legalization of same-sex marriage as the civil rights issue of the 21 st century.  As for me, I see the battle to end abortion as the civil rights issue of my generation. For this reason, I included the overturning of Roe v. Wade as item number one on my “ political bucket list ” and listed the passage of a Human Life Amendment to the Constitution as item number two. I wrote a blog identifying the battle to end abortion as the civil rights issue of this generation early last year, identifying it as “the civil rights issue no one is talking about.”  A lot has changed since then.  The year 2019 has proven beyond a reasonable doubt that this civil rights battle has heated up, whether people want to come out and call it a civi...
