Earlier this month, First Lady Melania Trump unveiled her “Be Best” initiative from the Rose Garden.   The “Be Best” initiative will focus on improving the health and well-being of children across the country, similar to other initiatives started by previous first ladies such as Barbara Bush’s literacy campaign and Michelle Obama’s decision to insert Big Brother into school lunches with her “Let’s Move” initiative. Liberals got bent out of shape because the title of the initiative does not include a definite article.   Melania Trump’s first language of Slovenian does not include definite articles.   If liberals really have that much of a problem with immigrants who don’t speak perfect English, then they would surely support the RAISE Act, which would award points to potential immigrants based on categories including English proficiency.   But they won’t support the RAISE Act because it does not give preference to immigrants who will end up voting for the Democra...

As Americans all over the country prepare for Christmas, The White House has promised the American people a very special Christmas present.   President Trump has promised the American people that he would sign the tax reform bill into law before Christmas.   The House has already passed its version; the Senate has yet to vote on its tax bill, which differs slightly from the House version.   Besides the confirmation of Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court and about a dozen lower court judges, the Senate has yet to pass any consequential legislation into law.   Deficit-conscious conservatives, Never Trumpers and moderates threaten the passage of the Senate’s tax bill, which requires 50 votes to pass.   In the event of a 50-50 tie, Vice President Pence will cast the tie-breaking vote.   The Republicans hold 52 Senate seats; therefore they can only afford two Republican defectors unless they manage to get support from a Democratic Senator, a scenario which see...

Due to my travelling this week, I have not watched the news as much as I normally do.   Based on what I have seen, Tropical Storm Harvey continues to dominate all of the headlines.   It looks like the media continues to embarrass itself with its abusively biased coverage.   They seem to have no desire to improve on their dismal approval ratings.               As parts of the second largest state in the Union have had to endure more than four feet of rain, the media chose to obsess over First Lady Melania Trump’s choice to wear high heels as she and the President departed The White House on Tuesday to survey the damage in Texas .   Since many TV shows focus heavily on celebrity style, you would think the media would welcome such a stylish First Lady.   Besides, I thought it was “sexist” to focus on a woman’s outfit choices.   I guess that rule only applies to liberal women.   The media attacked the Fi...
