Addressing the Anarchist Anti-Fascists

The leaders of twenty of the world’s largest economies, accounting for more than 80 percent of the global gross domestic product, gathered in Hamburg, Germany last week for the 12th G20 summit.  Topics discussed at this year’s summit included climate change, counter-terrorism efforts and economic growth initiatives.  More than two-thirds of the world’s population lives in a G20 nation. Also gathered in Hamburg were more than 100,000 protesters associated with the group that calls itself the Antifascists or Antifa.  While not all of the protesters were rioters, all of the rioters were protesters.  Many of the most violent protesters were members of the Black Bloc, an anti-capitalist anarchist group that wears all black apparel and covers their faces with masks.   Antifa titled one of its protests, held on Thursday, “Welcome to Hell.”  Parts of the City of Hamburg certainly resembled hell as protesters set cars on fire and threw bottles and smoke bombs at the police.  The police attempted to strike back by deploying water cannons and pepper spray. Chants of “No Nation, No Borders” and “Down with capitalism” echoed long into the night. Looters took full advantage of the chaos, stealing from a wide variety of businesses including an Apple Store, a supermarket and a pharmacy.   On Friday, First Lady Melania Trump was prevented from attending events with the spouses of other G20 leaders because Hamburg Police could not provide clearance for her to leave her hotel without getting ambushed by violent protesters.

According to Antifa, the world has not changed at all since 1945. The entire west is in danger of being overrun by Nazis.  Antifa feels that it is their obligation to destroy these “Nazis” before they destroy us.  The “Nazis” and “fascists” that Antifa targets are apparently not entitled to the principles of due process and innocent until proven guilty.  Antifa assaulted Independent journalist Luke Rudkowski; along with Germany-based journalist Max Bachmann and American journalist Marcus DiPaola.  Their crime was daring to walk near the magnificent Lauren Southern; who had been labeled a “fascist” by Soren Kohlhuber, a credentialed German journalist who writes for the German newspaper Die Ziet.   While Rudkowski is a known acquaintance of Southern, the other two victims barely know her.  They just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Kohlhuber tweeted out a picture of some of the victims with Southern and soon after Antifa caught up with them.  And people thought the American media was bad.  It should only be a matter of time before Kohlhuber is offered a job as a CNN contributor.

These so-called anti-fascists seem a lot more like actual fascists to me.  They’re definitely not traditional liberals; after all traditional liberals supposedly believe in “coexisting” and “peace and love.”  Fascists believe in shutting down opposing viewpoints using force and intimidation.  That’s exactly what Antifa is doing. While Antifa protests the alt-right, the alt-left, which Antifa is a part of, poses a much greater threat to western civilization.  If Antifa has its way, you might as well say goodbye to the First Amendment.

Many members of Antifa believe that they are today’s civil rights heroes; committed to fighting the injustices of a capitalistic patriarchy.  Appearing on “Tucker Carlson Tonight”, Civil Rights leader Bob Woodson explained that left-wing protests like the ones that took place in Hamburg last week undermine the legacy of the Civil Rights Movement.  If Antifa continues its looting and rioting, no sensible person is going to want to listen to their arguments; even if some of them actually make sense.

New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio managed to deliver the keynote speech at an Anti-Trump protest in Hamburg; deciding that his presence in Deutschland was more important than witnessing the swearing-in of the 524 newest members of the NYPD.   De Blasio appears to have his eye on a leadership position in the unofficial “shadow government” set up to oppose President Trump.  His trip overseas garnered him a large amount of criticism; especially since he took off less than 48 hours after NYPD Officer Miosotis Familia was gunned down in cold blood.  The NYPD police union chief was among those harshly critical of De Blasio’s decision.  Ed Mullins, President of the Sergeants Benevolent Association, slammed the mayor for skipping a vigil honoring Familia in favor of his overseas trip.  New York State Assemblywoman Nicole Malliotakis, a candidate for the Republican nomination in The Big Apple’s mayoral election this fall, tweeted out this satirical picture of De Blasio.  Sal Albanese, De Blasio’s challenger for the Democratic nomination also criticized De Blasio’s overseas trip; calling his opponent “the biggest a**hole to occupy City Hall.” De Blasio plans on attending Familia’s funeral this Tuesday; we’ll see if NYPD members turn their backs on him as they did in early 2015 while he was delivering the eulogy at a funeral for Wenjian Liu, an NYPD officer killed in the line of duty by a career criminal.

Americans should feel relieved that the American version of Antifa has not reached the magnitude of the European Antifa, yet.  Remember that the left’s goal is to bring everything from Europe to America. As long as the left continues to maintain its hold on our cultural institutions, including Academia, Hollywood, and the Media; the possibility still exists that the American Antifa will grow in influence to the point where it becomes as dangerous as its European counterpart. Should that happen, you might as well get used to the new national motto: no nation, no borders, no freedom.
